Can't go back [ESS] Empty Can't go back [ESS]

She growled as she headed home with Velatha. Gem had told her never to come to Anthatla or the forest ever again. She had been told to leave, and not even say goodbye to those she was close to like Glenawing. That angered her a lot.
She was not happy when her dragon landed in Nuduien. Her father came out at the same time. He knew something was wrong at the moment.
    "What happened, Keya?" he asked.
    "I got told to leave."
He sighed, wrapping his arms around her.

His rage broke beyound a boiling point, he had read the note three times everytime his anger rose. Hgot his armor and his close belonging and looked at Veer, "Tell the riders and men under my control. Veer nodded his massive golden head which was enraged as much as Glen was. Glenawing rode to the clearing and looke dat his men esembled, "Join me my friends and join Marcos with me, Gem has banished Keya for no reason and I will get revenge for this." three riders stepped foward and a few of his leutenints, "My lord we will fight with you till the death when do we leave?" Glenawing smiled, "Now." and Veer bounded off towards the King of the HUmans land.

“She said that others had noticed that Keya was sending messages to you, and that it was something she could not allow to stay happening, My King,” Velatha said, while her rider was unable to.
“I haven't heard from you in a long while, so clearly someone wanted you out of their city.” The human king sighed. “I guess now you both know why I feel the way I do towards the elves.”
“I can somewhat. One of them was rather kind.” Keya paused. “We became very fond... of each other. No doubt he'll be the one coming after me, I doubt he will be happy with Queen Gem right now.”
    “What's his name?”
"General Uruohtar Glenawing Hawksong, rider of Veer.”

It was then one of the guards ran towards them. Bowing hastily he said, "A dragon is coming, my lord."
    "What type?" Lindan Marcos asked.
"Male dawn dragon, aboutt he age of Velatha. Theya re not alone."
"i know who that likely is," Keya said. "Glenawing."
    "Go," her father replied.
She nodded springing up easily into Velatha's saddle. Soon the pair wasflying in that direction to meet them.

Glenawing saw the castle and began his decent and he landed at the front gate and waited for Keya, this place brought back bad memories. He kept his hand on his blaade incase a human attacked him for no reason. Many gaurds looked afraid. Glenawing guessed some of those that lived recognized him. He began to pace around Impatiant waiting he anger was still at it's peak and he would't mind killing Marcos and his men and then going off to destroy Gem and Auraka himself.
He began to grind his teeth impatiantly and enraged still at what Gem had done.

"I doubt you could really do that, Glenawing," she said, coming out of the gates. Velatha chose to stay within the walls this time, though her eyes never left Keya now. "None will attack you, I've made sure of that, in what little time I've been back here."
She smiled a little. "My father knows pretty much everything now that I'm home. He may not like the elves in general, but he's willing to give you a chance at the least, thanks to something I said about you." Her eyes seemed to smiled as she looked at him.

He raised an eyebrow, "Who says will fight for your pitifull father after all the times his tried to get me killed, prisoned, I've come for you not for your father Keya." he paused, "You told him everything?" he was hoping she wouldn't have done that he may be angry with Gem but he didn't want his people to be destroyed. "Keya if your father knows our weaknesses he will anialate my people and aI don't want to see that happening."
"I love yes but I won't help your father take down all of my people I will fight but only to get revenge on Gem for what has done." he looked into the darkness seeing if he could make out her father, "Where is he I want to meet him?"

"I did not say you would fight or any of that. There is not enough I can tell him to do any damage really."
She smiled. "Don't worry, you're safe here. He's in the dragon area. I'll show you where to go." There were some places she knew he couldn't go, but when she was around him, he was completely safe.
Though now he was seeing a more formal side to her which had been hidden the whole time she was in Anthatal. Then again, she was the crown princess of the town they were in now.

He began to walk inside, the last time he walked in with a trail of dead bodies behind him. He looked around taking in his surroundings looking for any weaknesses, escape roots other faults . He looked at Keya, "So you grew up in these walls these walls wich have lead to the death and execution of many innocent lives." he loked around grimly thinking of all that he had lost in these walls, family and friends.
He paused as he saw Marcos his hand instictively going to his blade as a reaction from all of these years of fighting him.

"This is my home, though I know the things that have happened here. Once it's my turn though, those things won't happen, as much." She'd said it while they were out of her father's hearing range. "Try and be nice," she added in an undertone.
There was no chance she was going to let anything bad happen right now. She knew her father would not do anything, he loved her too much. He knew she had only returned because she'd been forced to. HE wouldn't cause her any more strife than what had already been.
"Hello, Glenawing," he said, as they reached them.

    Glenawing
Glenawing grinned and looked at Marcos and laughed, "Marcos, this seems to be the first time we meet and were not about to kill each other." he walked around Marcos analyzing him seeing if he showed any motive of attack. He lookde at Keya and then at Marcos, "If you think you can defeat my people your wrong you've awaken a sleeping Giant and you will see the anger and rage of the elves and you will relise your mistake and defeating Gem won't be that easy." he looked at him seriously and then walked back next to Keya.

“I don't hurt those close to those of my family,” Lindan Marcos replied, ignoring his teasing, though not easily. “And I don't always hate elves when I meet them.”
It was true, who came out of the room next to them as he said it, one of the other pure elves. Ava Berilan herself. The only sister of Laura Berilan. She smiled as she moved to stand next to her husband. “I'm glad you're home again Keya, though I guess what my niece did to you was not the best of things.”
Keya shrugged. “It was going to happen eventually, I'm not angry with her any more. I knew I wouldn't be able to stay there forever, I had the feeling something was going to happen like that. Didn't say anything to anyone, seeing as I did not want to believe it.”

"Yet you tried to kill me countless of times Marcos and you even curropted my cousin to join you." he was trying to stay calm but it wasn't working though he may be Keya's father he still hated Marcos more then anything. His hand curled into fists and his voice began to raise with anger, "You lead my niece to belive her father had died a hero and when she found out her father had joined the enemy she was devestated Marcos!" he paused, "She said to me it would have been better if her father had died!" his voice was filled with rage now.

"I had nothing to do with that, far as I knew, Laura and Zelphar were dead. Thenm coming back is a bit of an issue for me as well. I thought they were dead. Else I'd likely have checked."
Keya sighed. Calm down, Glenawing, before you do something you might regret, she said in Glenawing's mind. You really don't want to anger him, though right now he seems to be besting you there. Please calm down.
Ava looked at Glenawing. "Mistakes can be made by anyone when it comes to that sort of thing. He already knew before you said it that my sister and brother-in-law are alive. He found out off of me."

He couldn't control his anger, "You do know Marcos and you planned to turn him to your side once you found about us inflitrating your pitiful city." his hand moved to his sword. He turned to Ava, "No I didn't make a mistake as I preformed his final rights with my own hands I saw his body hang from the gallows now tell me how I could have made a msitake you husband turned him away from his people and his family." he drew his sword, "You don't deserve death for what you have done you deserve to suffer for eternity."

The great blue head of the dusk dragon behind Lindan Marcos rose now. "If we really deserve what ou say we do, then wait for that other dragon rider to deal with us. I daresay she'd be angry if her pathetic Sun Dragon didn't get to kill me." The dragon snorted, he was not in the least bit worried.
Keya knew that things were going to get ugly somehow if she didn't get in the way this time. Sighing, because she really didn't want to, though she knew he would never hurt her, she moved to stand between her father and Glenawing. "I don't think you're going to be able to hurt him without having to go through me, Glenawing," she said softly.
There was no chance he would ever hurt her. They were getting too close to one another. Please calm down."

He lowered his sword confused, his anger was still present he looked at Keya with anger, "You'll defend this man even after all he has done? After he has killed so many innocent people?" he sheathed his sword, "Your lucky Keya was here Marcos or you would not be standing as you are now."

    "He's my father, Glenawing."
That was the only thing that made her want to stop him.
"I don't really have a choice there. My parents are all I have now, other than Velatha and you."
Her mother smiled, she was not in the least bit worried. She was, if truth be told, pleased that her daughter had found someone, though she was not totally sure if what she saw between Keya and Glenawing was that which she thought. "Keya, why don't you show Glenawing around?" she suggested.
"Come on," Keya said. "Maybe being away from each other might help with this anger issue."

He sighed and walked with her putting his arm around her, "So you would side me if I killed hundereds apon thousands of people?" he continued to follow her. "I'de stay away from your father as much as I can Keya." he looked around wondering were her room was, "So were's your room Keya?" he wanted to see on how she had lived for her life. he looked down at her, "So as a kid did you know of what your father had done or id you belive he was the world's best dad? he sighed he was begging to miss his home.

"There are many things that I have known he's done in the past, though I try to see past those things. They are things that I try to ignore. It's not something I like to think about him doing, killing others. never have I actually seen him doing any of it, though I know he does. now though I'm older, and I know more than i did as a kid. Back then he could do no wrong, but now that I'm older, well, lets just say I am aware of it, I just dont want to see it or be part of it."
She chuckled. "And I doubt you could ever be the way my father is when it comes to the elves. Thats not something you'd ever be capable of, trust me. I'd never let you get that bad."
Turning towards a staircase she moved up to it. Soon she'd found her old wooden door. Inside was a huge bed, a wardrobe, a chair, desk and rack of different scrolls she liked reading. "This is my room."

He put his hands around her waist and looked around the room. He smiled, "Not bad , not bad at all." he rested his head on her shoulder and gave a kiss on her cheak. "A bit dull but it's good very spacious though.
"Keya you haven't seen the dark side of us elves you've only seen a glimspe of me mad but never in rage while in battle, men fear me Keya my very presence gives them the sense of death." he said duly with a very seriious mono tone. He sighed and laid down on the bed.

"I doubt you'd ever have that effect on me," she said, moving over to him. "This might not seem much to you, but its all I need for a room of my own. Before I came to Anthatal, I spent most of my free time with Velatha."
She chuckled, sitting down on the familiar bed.
"Now that I'm home again there will be plenty of meetings to be in, and also new Uruohtar's to be trained. Not to mention I have to go speak with the leader of the Minotaur. My father wants their alliance, seeing as the Centaur chose the elves over him."

He sighed, "The centaurs will stay with the elves though the Minators will move with humans." he knew the minotars he felt they were brutes and would kill at any chance they had. He put his arm around her. "I'll help with the training thoug hI will not come to any meetings." he was hoping to speak to someone from back home either Gem or Auraka anyone to find answers of why Keya had been banished, he would fight for her admitence once again. He smiled somewhat sadly. He plled her closer to him, "Keya I might have to fight against you in the war."

She smiled at him softly. "I don't expect you to completely turn against the people you've known your entire life. Just as it would be hard for me to turn against the people who I will one day be queen of." She sighed though, lying down on her large bed. "There is a way for you to talk to those back in Anthtal, my mother had somewhere she could go to do that. I'm sure she won't mind you using that from time to time."
Keya chuckled though. "The help may be needed though. I'm not looking forwards to talking with the Minotaur. Gem's going to be there as well."

He nodded his head, "Alright I'll come and if you need I'll pound those large piles of beef some common sense." he laughed. "Do you know were this place is Keya?" he wanted to find out the truth as soon as he could. He sat up in the bed waiting for her answer. He took her hand and held it in his, "Would you come with me to land of my peolpe If I had to leave Keya?" he paused, "Or would you stay here in the land of your father and the humans?" he was hoping she would come as in the future that is what would happen.

She thought about the things he was asking her this time. She knew that she would not be able to return, though she wanted to.
"I've seen us together for a long time, though some time soon, we will have to part, until the end of the war. When that end comes, we'll be together again. You will have to go back to your people, and you should, but Gem and Arauka are not to blame here. Someone else outside the council caused them to decide to send me away. She knows this, and she is doing what she can to reverse it, as we speak."
Keya sighed. "I have to stay here for the time being, and keep my people from my father's wrath. Though I wish you would not have to return to Anthatal and stay there while I am here, I know you must. Something I have though you can take with you, a way to talk with me, when there is a need."
Taking her hand back from him, she walked over to the other side of the room and retrieved something. It seemed to be a huge white diamond, the size of her closed fist. There were two she held, one which she offered to him.
"If either of us wants to talk to the other person, all we need do is say their name. If the other person has their one on them somewhere, it will warm noticably. You on't be able to see me, but you be able to hear me. As for talking to Gem and Auraka..."
    She chuckled. "Follow me."

He looked down at the diamond like orb that was warm strangely and followed Keya. He wondered what he was holding and why he had never seen anything like it before. He looked into the clear glassy surface seeing his own relection like a mirror. He continued to follow Keya inspected the orb as he walked. He walked walked up nect to Keya and smiled, "So how does this thing work and what the hell is it?" it seemed to be an ordinary gem to him. He sighed waiting to reach that spot which Keya was telling him he could talk to Gem and Auruka.

She chuckled. "I told you how that stone works. Some of the cities my father trusts more have one of these and my father communicates with them that way instead of sending me."
She sighed though, seeing someone running towards them. He bowed to her. "Your horse is ready, Keya."
"I'll be there shortly," she replied.
    He nodded and hurried off.
Turning to Glenawing, she sighed. "That came quicker than I thought. I'll have to show you where that is when I get back. Now though, I have to sort out the Minotaur. one of the smarter ones is waiting for me, as an escort, I guess you could say."

"I'm coming with you Keya to help you with the Minators." he said calmly. He put the stone in his pocket. He looked at her, "I still don't trust a Minataur they are a bit unpredictable and more like dumb brutes, they make some humans seem intellegent." he followed her to the Stables and saw his horse there waiting for him. He climbed on and put his hood over his ears a habit he had aquired when traveling in Human lands alone. "I'll keep my hood up just to be safe your people aren't too accepting of me."

She nodded understanding what he meant. "At least the one escorting us is more intelligent than some," she said, before they reached the stables. Standing near where her horse was, was one of the great big Minotaurs. It was hard to beleive, but he was actually taller than Glenawing would have been.
His body was completely that of a bull, white horns, and black fur otherwise. His face actually seemed intelligent.
"Ottin," Keya greeted him. "You were the one sent?" there was clear surprise in her voice.
"Hello again, Princess," the minotaur replied.

He looked at the minatauor un impressed, "Lead the way Ottin." he said calmly staying at Keya's side. He kept his composure ignoring the fact that he was following a Minataor. He looked at Keya and said to her with her mind, "How far is this place?"

Can't go back [ESS] Empty Re: Can't go back [ESS]

Post  Erosaf Wed Mar 16, 2011 7:25 pm

"I'm sure entirely siure how far we're going to have to travel. I've never actually been there, though I have travelled with Ottin before. He's never let anything hurt me at all. I trust him, Glenawing."
She paused, knowing there was someone else moving out there. "Who else is near us, Ottin?"
The Minotaur snorted. "The other guide, the one sent to the elves. One of the elves was sent after all, to talk with our Cheiftan. Can't be helped I suppose. We won't know who they sent, until we get there. The other Minotaur's taking another route in."
he was jogging beside, them, easily keeping up with the horses. "We're not far from the encampment."
Soon though a horn rang out, and it was not a sound that was elven or human. More like the roar of a lion. It was thne they entered the encampment. It seemed busy though.
"What's going on?" Ottin asked a brown haired Minotaur.
"Centaur raiders," grunted the other. "get the visitors somewhere safe."
    Ottmin nodded.
Keya's horse easily followed him towards one of the tents.
"Wait in here, I'll be back shortly."

Glenawing stopped, "No they won't harm me Keya thye will recognize me." he stood there and watched hte Centaurs raid the camp and many nodded there heads in respect of him. He did the same to them. He looked at the frightened Minotaurs and looked at his allies. The Minataurs were truely outmatched by the skill of the centaurs and there grace much as the Elves to the HUmans. He looked over to Keya's tent which seemed to have gone untouched by the Centaurs. He looked to see if he could find Gem in this mess and crowd.

He sighed as he waited out the attack fromt he Centaurs. It was not his people who had organised this little strike. Then one of the minds around him caught his attention, and within a second he knew who it was. Glenawing was here? That was not something he had expected.
Though he knew that he himself was not to blame for what happened with Keya, Glen would likely ask, seeing as Gem was his cousin.
Finally though things cleared out and he saw one of the Minotaur coming in his direction. Exiting his tent, he saw Glenawing and Keya do the same moving out to talk to one of the others. A tall black minotaur was moving towards the other two.
He sighed. Then followed as his guide walked towards where the black one stood.
"Drannor will speak to our elders first," Ottin said. "Then tomorrow night, you will speak, Keya."
    She nodded.

Glenawing looked at the Minataur, "As the General of the Elves I have every right to attend to Drannor speaking to the elders right?" he looked at Ottin. He as waiting for an answer. He knew Drannor would not expect him to be hear espesilly to come in his meeting with the elders. He cracked his neck impaitently and waited for an answer from his guide. He looked in Drannors direction, he wanted to know who dared to have or convince Gem to Banish Keya. As soon as he would have found out he would either hunt them down or kill them or anything to bring Keya back with him.

Ottin sighed. "I'm sorry but no. They speak with us." He'd known that this was a likely question from at least one of them. "I'll come and get you, Drannor, when the time comes. For now, feel free to wander around, and talk with the others. You're more than welcome to."

Drannor nodded, knowing that he would have to carefully plan the speech that he gave. At least he had some semblence of influence with all the creatures of Nuban, having become one of the long since heard from Druids.
When Ottmin had moved off though, he said, "I've been looking into what caused what happened to Keya, Glenawing. I know who caused it, and it wasn't truly Gem. Just like the time I got framed, someone's controlling her again. Soon as i get back there, I'll be getting rid of them though."
He sighed. "I was not expecting to see you here, though disappearing like that was wrong, concidering the person you beleived to be the reason was not the one responsible for Keya being in the predicament is is now."
"At least I have one skill my father does not have when it comes to the elves. I can forgive and forget things like this," she replied.

"I'll come and dispatch of them personally Drannor, they will feel the sting of my blade and mine alone Drannor tell me who you suspect and they will understand what pain is truely." he waqnted to know who dared to go angainst him and Keya who dared to curropt Gem. He movedhis hand to his sword instictively as a Minataur passed him and relaxed as he moved away. Glenawing looked at Drannor his eyes seemed to house a fire fueled by anger and rage. He waited for an answer. Even if he said no he wouold return to his city and find those who did this.

    He shook his head lightly.
"No, you can't. Reason being, they are one of my people. No elf such as yourself Glenawing is allowed in Taror. This is one that I deal with, because they are one of my people. Believe me, they are in deep trouble with me when I get back."
    He sighed.
"I would let you, but I can't, not until I officially take over as the king of Taror. Until then, the city ids barred from you. Even I cannot remove that, until then. If you come with me, when the time comes for Sahar and I to head there, you'll be able to enter. Then you can deal with them. I won't do anything to them until then, except perhaps isolate them."

He looked at him and nodded, "As soon as you bring that swine that decided to do this and they will wish death would come to them." he looked over to Keya and sighed, "How is everything back there Drannor? I'm sure our forces are coping with one less general too lead our men to war." he paused, "I have decided to join you and our people in battle even if it means to go against Keya, I promised to protect our people and Gem and I'lll keep that promise." he smiled and patted Drannor on the back calmly and walked to Keya.

He sighed. "It will happen, and they will find themself in trouble. You're going to have to apologise though when you get back, Gem really misses you. She counts you as what seems one of her closest freinds, and finding out you had left has angered her. I doubt she'll forgive you all that easily. Just a heads up for you."
Then he saw one of the minotaur coming back. "It's time, Drannor," he said, then looked at Keya and Glenawing. "You two will wait here. It won't be long before you speak to them, Keya."
Keya nodded. She was nervous, though she knew what she would say to them. "Good luck, Drannor," she said as he left, though she knew that she would speak against him soon. Not that she really wanted to at the moment.

    Glenawing
Glenawing nodded at him and was wondering and deciding on whether he should go back with Drannor and speak to Gem of what to do and eventually apoligize. He looked to Keya and smiled and motioned his hand to her to follow him to a corner were thye wouldn't be seen or heard. He leaned against the Wooden wall around the camp and waited for Keya to come to him. He looked up at the starry sky finding familiar stars and constilations. His favorite star was the Northen Star, it was a guide to home and the brightest in the night sky.

"You have to go back. They are your people, though I know you don't want to be away from me. I'll be fine, there is nothing that I would not do for you, but at the moment I have to stay with my people, to help them through what is going to kill many."
She sighed as she wrapped her arms around him. It would never be easy, knowing he was not there with her, where she would be able to talk to him so close.

He nodded and smiled as she put her arms around him, he pulled her closer and rested his head on her shoulder and said, "I`want to be with you too but I have to go." he paused and kissed the nape of her neck, "I love you more then anyone Keya." he paused, "Prepare you people many will not return against us battle tell them to fight with courage and most of all not to be an idiot. Warn them of a warrior in golden and white armor stay clear if they can or they will indeffinately die by my blade.

“I know you do, but its the same for me. I don't to have to fight, but I know I will have to now. Father already told me that he expects Velatha and I to fight.” She sighed. It was something that neither of them wanted to do. “I told him I didn't want to,but he said that we have to since we were both trained.”
She was not pleased about that, and it showed in her face. "I will warn the others about you, but whether they choose to believe me or not is their choice. I will not be a tyrant like my father and force them to believe me."
She was too gentle to be able to do such a thing. "May end up being us fighting each other." She did not want that either. She knew that he could easily kill her. Her brief sparring match against him in Anthatal told her that was certainly true.

His hand moved to the side of her cheek, "If it does come to that I'll let you take me captive before anything else." he moved a strand of hair behind her ears which were slightly pointed. He smiled sadly, "I wish you didn't have to fight, why not just rebel against your father and well take him down, it would decrease the death and it would better for everyone." he kissed her and pulled her closer to him. "I wish this wasn't like this I wish we could just stop the war end all of this without blood shed at this point, I'm tired of the fighting."

It was clear she had thought about that. "How will you know its me? There are three gold dragons on my father side of the battle to come. You could easily mistake Velatha and I for one of the others. When the sun is behind us, you cannot tell us apart. And it will be during the battle."
She sighed. "I suppose I better contact Gem so she knows what I am planning to do when that time comes. Velatha and I often go to Tel. I'll let you know before we head there. Velatha just learnt to blink to places instantaneously and father is not aware of that. He'll give us a few weeks to complete the erand, so we could meet up somewhere, could we not?"
She stopped. "Wouldn't it be easier if you caught me? I can't even beat you in a duel, you're too strong for me. Plus Gem would let you keep an eye on me so i don't try to escape, I would if it was anyone else. I doubt she would want to lose her only other family member other than Ashlere. She would let me live, but my father would kill you if I caught you."

He nodded at her and sighed, "We'll meet up before and I'll capture you, your right your father would kill me." he put his arms around her and sighed, "I'll be leaving soon which I don't want to do at this point, talk to Gem of what your father plans that wawy we can easily stop or capture as many of your forces possible." he moved his hand from her waist to her cheek and kissed her, "Come on the meeting will be starting soon." he took her hand and began to lead her to the center of the camp.

"One which i have to go to alone," she reminded him. That was something she was not the most pleased about. She cared about what she was doing, but she knew that it meant there were going to be a lot of things her father did which she would not agree with, now that she knew what the real elves were like. That much she had gotten out of staying in Anthatal breifly.
"You'll have to catch me in the battle, if its before, well, things will look fishy and he'll strike at all of you without warning. He won't let anyone stand in the way if I've been taken. It's no weakness either."

She sighd, knowing there was so much that could be done at the moment. "We'll figure out something." She smiled at him though. There was so much that had to be done, and she would be in the middle of it all. "We might not be happy that we have to seperate for now, but it'll only be a month perhaps before we meet again for that battle. At least twice between now and then though, I'll be out and about again, so we'll be able to meet up."
She started towards the tent they had been given before. Only a few moments later did Drannor come in and he seemed annoyed by something. She did not ask anything, seeing as Ottin was not not far behind. She left with him, leaving the two elves together.

"That could have been no worse than it was," Drannor sighed. "She'll easily win them over. They knew from the start that the centaurs joined us. I don't think they wanted to hear a word of what I said."

He nodded, "After we attacked them with the Centaurs I knew that we wouldn't be able to win them over, they will wish to seek revenge for those who died in the raids and I'm sure that they still have grudges against us for it." he paused and grinned, "At least they didn't decide to turn us into stew and eat us for dinner eh?" he wished that he didn't have to leave Keya, byt it was for his people. "Drannor do you think the humans know what they are going to be facing, most of them will be slaughtered by our warriors with no doubt will their army be crushed like an ant underneath a rock." he paused, "I fear Keya will be mixed into those who have been crushed. What if I don't recognize her in battle and strike her down un-knowingly."

"She seems to have come up with a plan in her own head, which she's going to tell Gem about so she will not be crushed like you said. I have the feeling, from what's going on in her mind about that at the moment, that she's going to tell you as soon as she gets back in here."

He sighed though at the other things going on in his freind's head. "She has a fairly good idea of what she's going to be facing, but even so, I doubt she knows us that well, Gem will likely hear out what she has to say, I know my cousin won't let her be killed off in the battle. That's not something Gem would do."

He sighed. "Gem might be my cousin, but Keya is not. Gem's father is my mother's brother, and her mother is my aunt. My father refuses to have Keya's side of Gem's family in our family, but that will change soon. I don't think that's fair, to have one part of her family as my family, and not the other."

Soon though, they heard footsteps coming back towards them, and Keya entered. One look at what was going on in her head and Drannor knew that the Minotaur had chosen her over them. Still she spoke it outloud, for Glenawing's sake. "The Minotaur chose my father, though they have chosen to fight under my command."

It was clear she was not happy about that. They were efficient fighters. She had not wanted them. "Though I have come up with a plan for the main battle, that will keep me from... getting crushed with the others... as you called it, Glenawing. One that I know that will keep me safe from having that happen. I will tell you of it though in a moment, once I've figured out the last of it."

He nodded to Drannor and, "So I guess if I get Married to Keya I would be technically be part of the good old Royal family eh?" he paused, "And that would make you my cousin in law." he sighed and smiled, "I hope Gem wasn't too angry about me leaving, I'm sure she would do the same for Auraka if the circumstances had occurred." he paused and heard what Keya said he knew that would happen though he wondered what her plan would be. He smiled and walked over to her and put his arm around her waiting for her to say something else.

“She may understand why you did it, but she was angry all the same. Though I think I would have done the same in your place. At least I know she won't punish you, though she once did me.” he sighed.

“Yeah that would make you a part of the family,” Keya laughed. “I've been talking with my father about the fight to come, to find out what my role there would be. The group of knights that are most faithful towards me will be fighting first, we won't all charge at you at once. I'll be with them as will Velatha. There will be no other dragon riders with us in the group. Before we start to move though, so you know where I am, I'll be to your right of my father, but my left.”

He smiled and then he quickly relised he won't be seeing her for a while and his eyes seemed to become less bright, "Good, that will make it easier to be able to tell you apart from the other riders." he put his hand on her cheek and then kissed her, "I love you and I will see you in a few months. May the stars and the moon watch over you my love." he turned to Drannor and said calmly, "Shall we leave this is going to be a long ride home."

"I'll see you again soon, Glenawing. Trust me, people trying to take me out is nothing new. When father first met me after I'd been living in Adurna, one of his men threatened me. The man's still on the loose, and this is the first time that any trouble's come because of him. Though I doubt he was behind it. "

She chuckled lightly. "Nothing going to happen to me while you're away. Other than a ton of training that my father wants me to do." She sighed. That was something she was not looking forwards to doing. "I'll let Gem know so she knows what exactly is going to happen in the battle to come. It won't take much on my part to get her that information."

It was something that she was aware she would have to plan carefully for at the moment. "I'll see you again soon, sooner than you think."

Drannor sighed as he looked at Glenawing. "Time to head home I guess. It was good seeing you again Keya. I'll get things sorted out as to what happened back home, I promise you. Somehow I wonder if the guy I caught might be that same chamberlain who threatened you before you met your father for the first time. There's a good chance of it, the human has no respect for humans.. or elves it seems."

(this is when their arriving to Anthathal.)

    Glenawing

Veer landed on the plain, Glenawing jumped off of him and he could see people looked at him shocked at he had returned, he held his head high with his helm in his hand, he was wearing his entire suite of armor. He held his helm at the side of his waist in his right hand and his left hand was on the pommel of his blade. He looked at around and grinned and said calmly, "I'm back, so who missed me?" he continued to walk to the main hall were he would be meeting Gem. He had missed home greatly and wondered what his mother would do once she found out of his return. He groaned of the thought.

"About time you came back," Gem spoke as soon as he entered.
"Though I know why you left, you should have come to speak with me first, Glenawing."
She sighed. "Would have saved me a lot of worry as to where you had gone. Luckily, I'm not the one who'll yell at you. Your mother is the one who gets that one. Not me."

Drannor chuckled. "I knew you'd figure it out eventually, Gem."
"What became of the Minotaur, Drannor?"

"You likely already know, however, they have chosen Lindan Marcos."
    "Eltaor warned me they would."

He sighed, "Your joking right? I'd rather be flogged a hundered then listen to her yell at me Gem." he paused, "You know that you would have left in my position too Gem, at least I came back home." he paused, "And the Minataurs rejected us which isn't a surprise." He grinned, "so when do we attack the humans."

"Once we know where one more race stands. The gryphons. I was waiting for you to get back here, I knew you would return before long. The reason I was waiting is because I'm sending you to speak with them. If you'll accept that challenge. I suggest you and Drannor talk though before you go, Glenawing, seeing as he knows the gryphons ways."

She smiled though. "I'm sure that you'll win them over though, seeing as they hate the dwarves. The dwarves are on Lindan Marcos side, and have a habit of raiding the gryphon's dens and smashing their eggs."

"I think so. It's probably best that you get on the move, I know that Lindan Marcos' delegate has aready started on their way to where the gryphons are, over in Naurgim Iar."

"Just be careful not to say anything that might insult them. And only Kiara knows our language, so you'll likely be talking mostly to her, but that is a good thing, seeing as I taught her our language. They're found of giving you challenges and thignst o complete in order for you to win them over," Drannor added.

He rolled his eyes, "Great so I need to do some tricks for a bunch of feather bags." he grinned, "Their tasks shouldn't be to hard I'm hoping." he looked at Drannor and then to Gem, "Should I take Veer with me or a horse?" he was hoping to take Veer as it would be quicker. Then he paused, "How do I know who Kiara or what she looks like?" he thought all Griffins looked generally the same. He fumbled with his sword pommel waiting for an answer impaitent to do something.

"She's a great big golden creature, about the size of one of our horses. The feathers around her neck are cream. She's easily the biggest one there, and I suggest you take Veer," Drannor replied when Gem looked at him for information. "I suggest you don't call them that to their faces, they can easily be hurt by such... slander."
