    Yelena Osasuntsu

Yelena walked, arm slung over Tirelima's muscular shoulder as they forced their way though the heavy falling snow. They were at the border of the forest, only a few strides away from shelter. But they did not know this, they could barely see each other in the blizzard of flakes.
"Come on Tirelima!" she yelled though the howling wind, icy finger tangled in the thick white mane "It can't be far!"

Months of travel, of heartbreak and time had gone to the journey. To find a sanctuary of warmth and of hope. She had heard of these elves, related to her in some manner, though the old wives tales her mother had spoken. She just hoped that they were true, that the aged map she had found held the truth and safety.

Her long blonde hair whipped dangerously around her face, her nose pink and numb from the cold as she shrugged the fur jacket closer around her, fighting to keep some warmth in.
Her feet were wet and all but frozen to the ground she walked upon. She knew if they stopped, well they would be stuck.

But days without food or water had taken its toll. Hunger stung her stomach, her tried muscles aching for rest.
And, as one it just all gave up. Her young body collapsed in a heap, the beautiful unicorn mare beside her.
They curled up, one last movement, trying to stay warm.

One question remained now. Would they survive?

OOC: awful post, yesh...but open for anyone XD have a plot for this one.

I knew that Rontu would be furious that i had went for a walk without him knowing, well at lest me not telling him were i was going. i knew that my sister told my to wear a shirt but i did not need one not even when the weather was like this. But i always had it and two jumpers tied around my waist. I looked around now it was not often that i walked by myself these days as of the fact i was always worried that one of the people who had enslaved my family would come and take me back not that Rontu would ever let that happen. I chuckled a bit when he roared as if saying they would never get in a 50 meter radius of me.

I looked around the weather was now a blizzard and i knew my dragon would now come for me. I looked around again before seeing something on the ground a little in front of me. I ran over to it and relised it was a horse and person no let me rethink that Unicorn and person. I called Rontu to me fast then warped both my jumpers on the girl and then when my dragon landed i watched the unicorn carefully then said "i will not hurt her and i will get you both to warmth" then slowly picked the girl up and climbed on my dragons backs. Then when he was ready he carefully went to pick the unicorn up but then stopped and Rontu asked "will you let me carry you to warmth oh mighty Unicorn".

    Yelena Osasuntsu

Her body shivered, feelign the warm tingles of a hand brushing against her frozen skin. The sudden warmth stung, as a strong light often did to the eyes.
Her mouth opened, but no words appeared though a low, shaking moan escpaed her as she was pushed and pulled gently, something scratchy being pulled around her.

Then the odd sensation of flying, but tucked safetly against something entered her dreams. She had no idea what it was, nor could she focus in her current state. Blinking, she lost the battle and fell into unconsciousness once more.

Beside her, Tirelima stirred. The brown marked muzzle contrasting against the pure white snow but her mane was lost within it's cool depths.
"H-...Help...Y-yele...Yelena," the maw managed to form, not caring about herself but only her bonded rider.

The bright blue orbs of the unicorn closed, the body growing limp once more.

I looked at the unicorn and i nodded at her words but i knew that Rontu would take her with us and very quickly picked up the limp unicorn. I knew that Rontu could not carry us all for long but he had his mind set to get all three of us to my small home. I held the Female tight so that she would not fall as my dragon had no saddle. I watched the ground so did Rontu, it seemed a long while but we finally got to my home. I jumped off him with her in my arms against my bare chest and ran inside while Rontu put the unicorn in his cave in which i had made a fire in before i had left for my walk.

I called to my little sister and told her to heat up the fire and fast before putting the elf in my arms on my bed and wrapped her in the many blankets that Helaine had got for me. i started to cook some soup and then left my sister to deal with it while i watched over the person in my bed. I hoped she was okay then remember that unicorn, Rontu contacted me saying she was warming but did not say more.

    Yelena Osasuntsu

Hours later, she twisted in the pallid sheets, her blond tresses falling over her face and tangling into matted knots. Her icy blue orbs flashing open and closed as if fighting off something in her dreams. But with the fear that showed, it had to be true.

A wounded cry escaped her, her slim body convulsed as the nightmare grew words.

Her mother, her father and little brother, all laying dead in their old family home. Their killers stood over them, their sharp teeth bared. She tried to run, she tried to turn. But she wasn't truly there. She was just as helpless in her dreams as she was in true life.

The nightmare vanished with a blink of her unmoving eyes, sweat raining down over her small, fragile looking bodice as it bolted upright. She dry-reached, gagging on the horrible memory. Icy orbs fluttered, taking in the homely room around her. Wondering how she got here.

A familar herbal smell caught her attention, and slowly she turned towards the mug and picked it up with shaking hands. Was it safe to drink? She sniffed it lightly, able to tell most of the herbs within. Her mother had been a healer, she had grown used to such things.
Unable to find anything wrong with it, she sipped it with a wrinkle of her small button nose. Sure, it helped, but that didn't mean it tasted any good.

    ***

The brown nose sniffed, the green orbs flashing opened at the smell of fire and wood. But she was cold, to cold to try and move.
Her startled eyes took in those around her, a large red dragon and a cave. She relaxed, sensing no plans of harm within her voice. Thoughts of Yelena passed the females mind, and she trusted she would be taken to her knight.

She flinched slightly, feeling soothing hands against her chocolate pelt. But, still she did not open her eyes, rather listened to the sounds around her.

Sensing that he was not leaving soon, she heaved her nimble bodice to her hooves and sniffed around for food. It had been days since she had last eaten.

But, a sense overfilled her. Yelena was upset. So, without a thought she twisted and galloped away from the den and followed their mind link.
She felt Yelena's worry, the pain which coursed though her bones and carried onto her bonded-partner.
Yelena! she cried, trying to get inside. She paced in front of the door, knocking it a few times and tried to get inside. She was used to the inside, though she prefered not to speak to anyone rather then her knight.
With a final cry of worry, she charged the door and knocked it down. Using her mind link to clamber up the stairs and barged into the room which Yelena rested.
Ignoring the other elves, she hurried to the bedside, her silver hooves clattering over the wooden floorboards before dropping to her side.
Yelena...calm down.. she told the girl who was still panting and heaving up her empty stomach.

I had gone down with my sister after quite a while watching the elf, i knew it might have been better if i had made the soup but my sister did know a thing or two on herbs that would help her when she woke. I slept for a short time and jumped to my feet and ran to my room. i knew she had just woken as she was still drinking the soup, then something started knocking at the door, that was strange seeing as we mainly used the place in this house that had no wall. I was about to go down when i heard it break "oh well that will have to be fixed later" i said to myself then stood back as the unicorn came in. I ran down stairs and took four apples from our supplies and made an sweet tasting apple mash from them that my mother had given me. I knew both animal and people could eat it as i had many times before had and it tasted good.

I walked back up stairs with a large bowl and small one in case she wanted any. I went in and softly touched to unicorns side "here eat this" i said then placed it on the end of my bed for her and then put the small bowl on my bed side table "are you okay" i asked then almost hit my head "i'm Rowan, my dragon is Rontu and my sister Helaine who is down stairs fixing our never used door to replace it" i said then added "there is one wall missing down stairs that would make getting in and out very much easier for"

    Yelena Osasuntsu

Yelena's orbs widened as the boy entered. So the wives tales were true, other elves did exist! She threw back the covers and launched herself at the lad, hugging him tightly and laughing a high pitched bell like sound.
"You exist!" she cried with delight and then winced, as if finally remembering that she exactly the healthiest person around. Pulling away, she clambered back into her bed and stared at the yellow-eyed teen.
"I am Yelena Osasuntsu of Raivata, daughter of none alive," she murmured, pausing at the mention of her late father, mother and brother.
"I come from the land of Omerala, a once beautiful land now filled with war, I left hoping to find others of mine kind, and I did!"
She looked upon the teen in earnest "I must speak with your queen, only she may be able to save the last of mine kind!"

Her frail hand outstretched and rubbed the brown fae's nose gently, murmuring words of thanks but frowned at the mention of fixing a door and look at Tirelima with a pointed look who just ducked her head sheepishly.

Remembering the lad, she smiled to her "thank you for all your help, we would have died without your aid, we are both forever within your debt," she vowed as her empty stomach growled.
And suddenly, a shiver wracked her body, forcing her to pull her light blue tunic closer to her.
"Oh," she added with a yawn "this is Tirelima, my closest and dearest friend."
Pleased to meet you, thank you for finding the kindness in your heart to help to travelers in need Tirelima said directly to the boy before her and chuckling lightly and sorry for breaking down the door.. she added sheepishly.

"Lima!" Yelena scolded the dark pelted fae with a small smile "you can't just break down peoples doors."

Looking at the food beside her, she nodding her thanks before splitting it with the unicorn evenly and shoving a chuck into her mouth. A very, unladylike way to eat, but she was starved. She moaned loudly at the taste, eyes bursting at the taste.
It was amazing! Never had she had something so...simple and nice.

"This is amazing! Whatever is it?" she asked, still eating quickly and paused, shrugging "I am fine...or at least better then I was...a few hours ago?"

She peered out the window, wondering how long she had been here.

I looked at her when she hugged me then watched as she went back to the bed. I listened to what she said then nodded "i may be able to take you too her but that would mean i have to go into the town, not a place i have been to often, but we shall take you Yelena Osasuntsu of Raivata " i said to her. Then looked at her again with a little wounder, why did she sound like the elves here were a myth. I sighed softly that was about my reaction to elves when i first came here from were me and my sister had been slaves. "i do not know many people here as i have only been living here a few months myself as me and my sister were slaves to humans over the seas, it was only by luck that me and my sister got away, but the others in my family are still there" i said to her then called Rontu.

I knew he would come fast but Rontu knew that i just wanted him near right now. Then i started to laugh as my sister had walked in and the look on her face said it all "did i not tell you to put your shirt on Rowan its way to cold for you not to have it off" i watched as she walked around the room and threw a shirt at me and started to whack me to make sure i put it on. I shoke my head then slipped it on before she pulled out the girl shirt she threaded putting on me last time i didn't listen to her. I looked at Yelena then her Unicorn when she spoke "its nothing to big and we never used the door anyway" i said to her then looked at Yelena again. I smiled when they eat the food and then answered her question "their a sweet type apple, which i made into a mash that my mother gave me"

    Yelena Osasuntsu

She bobbed her head, having never left her own country until she had come here.
"Do you have a unicorn herd for Tirelima to go to?" she asked, rubbing the mares warm neck who shook her head.

They do not have unicorn's here Yelena...how odd, she hummed as if the fact amused her.

    ***

    Several Days Later.....

She had never met a dragon before, the blond haired blue eyed beauty. Apart from Rowan's dragon, who had saved her. They weren't a common word where she came from. It seemed what was a myth here, was true back home and what was normal here was legend in her war filled nation.
Tirelima sighed, grumbling to herself for her knighted one had been ignoring her. Again.
"Yelena!" the chocolate coloured unicorn cried finally, butting her with her nose, careful of the long pearl horn which stood upon her head.
"Oh...sorry Tirelima ," she said, rubbing her soft nose absently "things are just so different here."
"I know Yelena...thing will get-" the talkive fae was cut off, green orbs turning wide as they studied the sky above them. A sudden shadow appeared, as if a cloud was following them.

Slowly, the blond haired lass looked up, her icy orbs too growing large. It was a dragon! But not just a dragon, easily the biggest she had ever seen, not that she had met Gaelira yet. He towed over them, deep blue scales run across his thick chest, darker at the top of his head and lighter down to his stomach. His stomach is the palest of blues, so pale it looks almost white. Twisted horns, yellow-gold in colour, stood tall over the pair, making him almost double in size. It was clear he was old, if his size wasnt enough to prove that, then his blue eyes were. So aged, filled with wisdom as they landed upon her.
"He...hello," she stuttered, stepping backwards as the huge dragon landed with a booming thud, her hands burrying into the mare's mane.
Hello.. rumbled a deep voice in her head, and both Tirelima and Yelena jumped. The voice was so deep, clearly masculine with the way it rebounded though their heads.
The huge head lowered, turning slightly so that one eye was mere inches from her and blinked with a loud snick of the eyelid.
Yelena? he asked, blinking again before pulling slightly away at her nod.
I am Baura Fior, but call me Baura. I am your dragon, you are my rider. A throaty chcukle followed his words, his legs folding under him and taking up nearly the whole, large clearing.
"My...what?" she asked, voice barely a whisper "I am a Unicorn Knight, I cannot have a dragon!"
He frowned slightly, head lowering once more to her level despite his towering horns.
My child, I have been waiting over 200 years for you, he told her, and she noticed that his chest vibrated as he spoke.
"But...but....but" she shook her head, backing up and dragging a still speechless unicorn with her.
"I cant....sorry Baura...but I can't," she shook her head, tears welling into her orbs as she turned, leaping onto Tirelima's back and urging her back though the forest.

The great dragon sigh, his blue eyes showing a now ancient longing. 200 years was a long time to wait for someone, expecially when that someone did not want you.
He watched the form disappear, his ears following her movements incase she met trouble. Maybe tomorrow would have better answers, he could keep asking her until she said yes.

    Rowan

I watched her a little longer, then left the two alone. I went out side to my dragon then went for a short flight. I knew i needed a saddle so i would go get one made for my dragon on this day then head back home.

    ***

    What you said

I had been testing the saddle out for the past few days and it worked a treat. I knew then that i could now take Yelena to see the Elven Queen. I looked at the ground below and frowned when i over heard what she had said to the dragon "Rontu after her" i said and he took me too her then i sent him back to the other dragon. I ran after Yelena and her unicorn "hey stop" i yelled as even though i could run for a while i would be able catch up to them if they didn't stop. I hope i would catch up in time, "why you leave him like that if a dragon has chosen his or her rider they should be taken on with open arms" i said to her and watched them waiting to see what she would do. I knew that if i had turned down Rontu he would be heart broken as dragons waited a long time for their riders. I sighed sadly before looking at her.

    Rontu

When i went back to the other dragon after Rowan had said to "Greetings i'm Rontu, my rider is going to try and bring back your chosen rider" i said to him "she might learn or hear something from Rowan or her unicorn that will bring her to you" I looked at the older Blue Dragon and then slightly bow my head to show respect to him. I wondered if my rider bring her back and so she would take him today.

    Yelena Osasuntsu

They galloped at a fast pace, faster then any horse could ever run. Elven trained or not. Unicorns were an elite all by themselves.
The dark fae's doe like leaps had them jumping from one side of the river to the next, hooves barely brushing stone before the next launch.
Yelena kept her tear stained face pressed to her soft glossy neck, so not to get her head taken of by the branches. They weren't used to riding in such conditions, there homeland was of snow and empty fields.
"Why Tirelima?" she whispered to the fae, but there was no response to be heard. For once, the talkative mare did not have an answer.
It was Yelena's choice. But she didn't want to leave her long time friend and bonded one for another, even with wings.
"You don't have to give me up," murmured the mare as she stopped, now a far distance from the dragon and her green orbs turned back in the direction they had come.
"Yelena, I waited under a year for you...that was hard enough, but waiting as long as he," she paused with her words and gently nuzzled her side "I couldn't bare it."
"Anyways..." she sighed softly "we cannot last forever."

Yelena's icy blue eyes widened, stepping down from her friends back and met her gaze "What? Why?"
Tirelima closed her eyes, unable to bare to see the surprise and pain within her knights orbs.
"Why do you think we are so rare? Even from where we are from? Or why bonded pairs only last so long?" she questioned her, but Yelena didn't have an answer...until an old wives tale came to mind.
"A vow of Chasity," she whispered and sat heavily on the ground "but I never took the vow..."
"You did," Ceelena confirmed "you were but a day old, your parents agreed it for you, wanting us to grow up together....they were meant to tell you."
    "Oh."

The unicorn mare skidded to a halt at the calling of the boy who had saved him, despite the tears running down her knights face and stuck her nose in Rowan's general direction.

At his calling, she wiped her cheeks and frowned across at him, trying to make sense of his words.
"I cannot have a dragon," she said quietly "I cannot be a rider."

She shook her head, feeling the tears rise once more but forced them back. He wouldn't understand, their world was so different from the one she was raised in.

I shoke my head then walked jogged the rest of the way to them. No it was she who did not under stand "you can be a rider any elf or human can if a dragon chooses them Yelena, someday you might regret rejecting him, you can all ways keep both your friend here and also have a dragon, two is better then one" i said to her then added "please let us walk back slowly". I knew Rontu was talking to the other dragon maybe after a few days she might take him but i did not think it would be easy.

It had taken me time to get used to Rontu but in time i came to see that it was for the better. I looked at Yelena then smiled "maybe you should meet the Elven Queen soon it would be easier if you had your own dragon to rider back i can always give you a lift to see her" i said then spoke again "of course i can also take you now but that will mean going back to were the other dragon is as Rontu is with him"

I had not seen that before but now i did i could call him but i half wanted her to go back to were her dragon waited. I smiled again then looked around how long would it take us to get back. I looked around again that back to the other two "so what do you say wanna go meet the Queen today".

    Rontu

I looked at the other i could see he was sad and i sighed. do not worry much my rider will think of something for you i said to him. I really hoped Rowan did so i re listened to what he had been saying. they wold have to come this way anyhow so maybe she would change her mind sooner or later. I looked around and sighed i did not like seeing another dragon so sad he should be happy and proud i just hoped that Rowan could get them back here and Yelena Osasuntsu accept what has happened here.

    Yelena and Tirelima

"But I am a unicorn knight," she whispered, the words sounding free able to even herself, and Tirelima snorted in response.
"And now you are a rider," the timid fae muttered, halting in her slowing strides and looked towards Rowan "take her back to the big, dragon...I think it best they talk in the least."

The chocolate stained mare sighed heavily, urging her frozen rider from her spine and onto the snow littered floors.
"Now go," she said, trotting off and turning away, tears filling her ivy orbs. The sooner the bond was broken, the better.

"I....I guess we better so see the blue dragon," she whispered, horrified that Tirelima had left her so easily "please...led the way."

    Baura

The ancient blue dragon huffed a sigh, having never felt quiet so depressed in his whole life. He felt the press of the young dragons thoughts, tugging him from his misery and nodded slowly.
    Greetings.... he hummed softly.

I sighed "i know" i said very softly then looked to her unicorn who spoke and smiled a little. then it left and i nodded "i shall do what you ask of me" i said then looked at Yelena as she got off the fae and then her friend left. I watch her go then looked back at Yelena when she spoke about going back "okay come with me a short way then i shall call my dragon to take us back to Baura" i said then moved off silently and as i did so i took my shirt off, i did for the fact my little sister would get mad at me for doing so. I wrapped it around my waist then called though my mind for Rontu to come get me.

    Rontu

I looked at the other dragon with a sad sort of sigh then i listened in on Rowan and smiled "do not worry and stay right here i will be back with Yelena and Rowan" i said to him then stood up and jumped into the air. I flew to were they were and landed not far from were my rider waited.

Yelene's attention was momentarily snatched by the shirtless male before her and tripped rather ungracefully, but managed to catch herself with a grunt of annoyance, blushing a deep red she continued to walk down the path he was leading her.
"I don't want to be a rider..." she whispered softly, blue orbs flickering over to study him quietly "I...I cannot be a rider. I feel bad, but it is not me. He has the wrong one..."

She tried to plead, but they sounded even weaker out loud. At the mention of his dragon carrying them back, she froze instantly and shook her head fervently.
"No..no...no, we can walk...can't we?" she gasped, pleading him with wide orbs "please...please..don't make me!"

Baura nodded his great blue head in thanks, lowering it against his claws and sighed heavily against the ground, awaiting for their return.

I chucked when i saw her trip then moved one a little. I stopped when she spoke "you may not want to, but it will break his heart" i said to her whisper. I heard her say more "a dragon does not make mistakes that big" i said to her then looked at my dragon then looked at Yelena and sighed "it would take to long to get back, please maybe we could go a short way on Rontu and walk the rest of the way to the other dragon, it would make it a little quicker" i said then added "but if your really that scared of flying then we may walk but you might get a little cold again"

I looked at my dragon he knew that if she did not want to go on him for a little then we would walk and he would go back.
